A life without you

A Poem of Unrequited Love

Without you, the night is but a void,
No moon, no sun to light my way,
Without you, the land is dry and devoid,
No rain to nourish, no voyages to sway.

Without you, life is but a bitter taste,
A path forgotten, a dream misplaced,
My eyes overflow with tears of waste,
My fields wilt, and my heart is laced.

Oh, you who give beauty to my words,
Do not tear my painting, for your face adorns,
Do not abandon me to the sea’s harsh herds,
For with you, my horizon is reborn.

Do not be a cloud in my sky,
Playing with my heart, making me sigh,
For I am a man, my lady, and men do not shy,
From walking their path, however high.

I’ll walk my path, no matter the dangers,
And light your sun, for it brings light to my mornings,
With you, my love, my heart sings,
Eternally yours, my love is forever pouring.
