I dare those who came before me,
Carrying the sun in their hands,
And the scent of jasmine around their necks,
To love you in the way that I can.

I challenge the madmen and the lost souls,
Drifting in the sea of yearning,
To love you with my passion and my fire,
To love you with all my heart’s yearning.

I challenge the written words of love,
From times long gone by,
To find a page where I reside,
And to see the love that’s in my eyes.

I challenge you to find a home,
As warm and tender as my kiss,
A place where you can lay your heart,
And feel the love that only I can give.

I challenge all to write a letter,
That speaks to you in my own way,
To use words that echo my own heart,
And to love you in the way that I love you today.

I challenge you to remember,
The man who loved you as I do,
Who spent his days in awe of you,
And looked deep into your ocean…
