Another Chance
A Search for Simplicity and Peace
Once upon a time, in days long gone,
A world untouched by chaos, shining like the dawn,
There I did not dwell, a spirit yet unborn.
In those simple days, when time moved slow,
Complex hours passed, and I did not know,
The life I now endure, tangled in its flow.
When humans walked as one, in harmony,
A peaceful world, where hearts were free,
I was not present, far from such decree.
But now I stand, confined by human strife,
Longing for a time, that’s out of reach in life,
A history glimpsed through words, emotions rife.
I yearn to find the way back to that realm,
A haven where simplicity could overwhelm,
Yet struggle, and am left to face life’s helm.
Trapped in the present, I find no release,
Time chases me, while I pursue its cease,
An endless dance, my heart cannot appease.
Why do I detest this current age?
Why seek to flee, and change the stage?
To an era unknown, free from my cage.
