Ashes of Pain
A Journey of Struggle and Sorrow
I am a human, cause of my own despair,
A being of feelings, thoughts, and memories that I bear,
Molded by my present, etched with pain and care,
On my face, a map of my past, my present, and my future to wear.
Indeed, pain was created for me, not for any other,
A life of pigeons flocking to the final end’s feather,
A pack of dark nights, one dies, the other starts to gather,
But revenge grows, while the army shrinks, facing weather.
My journey started young, living for the present alone,
Ignoring past and future, forgetting all that’s known,
Drinking life’s wine, lost in moments’ blissful tone,
Unaware of the winds of change that’ll be blown.
But joy’s moments fade, like a star in the sky,
And clouds veil the face of the sun, like a veil that won’t die,
Its rays carrying seeds of pain and tears that imply,
Uprooting joy’s roots, leaving a void, a silent cry.
My first journey on the ship of reality,
A storm fierce, the night dark, the helm in fatality,
