Echoes of the Soul: A Journey of Rediscovery
Embracing Vulnerability Amidst a Masculine World
In the arms of sorrow, I cradled my heart,
Shattered defenses, I wept in the dark,
For the first time, I tasted pain and despair,
Masculinity’s grip on me, no longer could I bear.
One day, I forgot myself by a forsaken wall,
My towering shadow, beneath the sun’s enthralled,
I ventured forth, seeking another soul to claim,
Unaware that I was lost, with no path to reclaim.
Never had I heard of one who’d misplaced themselves,
Embarking on a search, but finding nothing else,
In the throes of despair, I stumbled upon years adrift,
Searching for the life that had slipped through a rift.
I found happiness waiting for its saddened guest,
A tear of joy anticipating a smile to manifest,
All were waiting, unsure when their time would come,
My appointment with myself, yet to be determined, undone.
