Edge of Desolation
Whispers in the Silent Void
In the dim alcove of my sanctuary,
I perceive a fracturing, subtle yet profound.
Is it the universe decaying, or merely the unraveling of my essence?
The line between the two blurs endlessly.
Beneath my feet, the floor trembles,
The vigor to uphold myself dwindles, and fades.
In this stillness, a haunting serenade engulfs me,
A melody, perhaps, from some forgotten past.
Recalling your words, heavy with despair,
Proclaiming our existence, a desolate expanse,
Questioning the point of seeking solace,
In a world shrouded in relentless void.
The battles rage, victory uncertain,
Death a possibility, but surrender isn’t.
For I’ll endeavor, relentlessly,
To prevent myself from the abyss’s beckoning.
Visions plague me, yet clarity eludes,
Scaling heights, discerning the precipice’s danger,
Striving, always striving,
To escape the imminent descent.
