Eternal Love
A Poem for the Fairest of All
Oh, fairest one beyond compare,
In your eyes, my safety’s there,
And your heart’s love enchants me so,
A sweet river of love you flow.
An angel of paradise you seem,
A singing bird, a lovely dream,
The garden’s fairest flower, it’s true,
And in the sun, my gaze on you.
You are the moon and shining stars,
Life itself, and peace that lasts,
Though I may try to paint your hues,
My words can’t capture all of you.
Poets sing of you with glee,
But words and speech fall short, you see.
My heart’s desire, my heart’s delight,
You’ve given me more than I might.
Forevermore, you’ll be to me,
My every thought and fantasy,
Though time may pass and I may age,
My love for you will never fade.
For no one can capture your true grace,
You’re beauty beyond time and space.
With every beat of my heart,
I’ll love you more, from now till the start,
Of eternity, my love will be true,
For I’ll always love only you.
You are my everything, my all,
With you, my life has a meaning and call,
I’ll cherish you, till the end of time,
Forever yours, my love will shine.
With every breath I take,
I’ll love you more, my heart will ache,
To hold you close, and never let go,
For my love for you will forever grow.
My love for you is pure and true,
With you, I’ll spend my whole life through,
And in the end, I’ll look back and see,
The best thing that ever happened to me.
