I Orbit Your Radiance
Lost in Love’s Intoxicating Whirlpool
Here I am, and there you are.
It’s as if time has curled up, and the mountains have disappeared. The sky seems too tight as if trying to contain something impossibly grand. The moon edges closer to you, and stars trail behind, all rushing to bask in your light to revel in the glow surrounding you.
The world sings a quieter song when you’re near. Beauty itself holds its breath.
Are you just a dream or something more divine?
You carry a grandness about you, a spell that’s snatched up my words, leaving them tied to none but you. They’ve become yours, birthed from the light you cast like the sun reaching across the sky with rays of warmth.
I’m no more than a bird in flight, circling, igniting my poetry from your fire. I pour all my creativity into your palms, hoping it blossoms into fields of color there. And a scent, pure and rich, calls the butterflies to gather — it’s you they recognize.
You’ve become a sanctuary for my soul, a place unlike any other heart that’s tried to hold you. I battle sleep to scribble down my feelings, for my heart wouldn’t dare live if it meant going against you. I’ve given into madness for you, found peace in the thought of surrendering if it’s to you.
