A Ballad of Profound Desire
Your lips whisper to joy, “Be so,” and it becomes,
My heart erupts in song, sun-rays its humming strums.
It flutters, a phoenix of desire, unafraid to burn,
In the ecstasy’s furnace, where lovers yearn.
Once my soul was a labyrinth, shadowed and unseen,
Haunted by specters gnawing on the walls of yestereen.
Now it’s a window, draped in a rainbow’s hue,
Open to the horizon, the wind, the rain, and surprises anew.
The melodies of night nymphs, their loves confessed, play through.
With the arrival of your visage, I morph into a poet, oh so fine,
Pining for a beach where atoms pulsate beneath a lacklustre summertime,
To the rhythmic drums of the waves,
And the celestial music the muted star plays.
To all things noble and kind, in your bewitched world, I chime.
Your love drizzles over my days,
As radiant showers, cleansing in delight’s blaze.
I had not known that time, in its labyrinthine vault,
Stored such joy, a thunderous exalt.
All this love you envelop me in, like parched…
