Lifting the Sky with Love

In loving you, I find healing, lifting our world higher

I want to love you…

In loving you, I find my healing and the mending of my broken words. I aim to clear away the weight that clouds my heart because, without you, the world feels untrue, like an apple that’s turned bad inside.

In this love, I want to remember the sweet smell of flowers, to stand up for the beauty of poetry, the deep blue of the sea, and the lushness of green woods.

I want to love you until I feel peace. I want to know that everything is alright, that the poems in my heart still live, that I’m free from the dryness within me.

I want to cry and laugh with you, to feel alive.

In these times when true love seems chained, words lose their meaning, and poetry’s voice is muted. It’s like trees can’t stand up straight, birds forget how to fly, and even stars get lost.

My love for you is my voice of freedom, the promise in the last letters from lovers long ago, the spirit of the last verses ever written.

I want to love you before everything changes, steal a quick coffee moment with you, and sit close just before someone tries to pull us apart. I want to hold you and cry before they say my tears are not free.
