Battling Time and Fate
In your heart’s chamber, I endlessly reside,
A universe vast, yet without you feels confined.
Each gaze around, in every shadow, every light,
My heart’s throb hopes for you, every night.
The cosmos narrows, when you aren’t by my side,
Whispering winds carry a chant, a yearning so wide.
The rhythm of our hearts, a timeless dance,
Yet sometimes, they falter, missing a chance.
From the depths of my soul, I hear the call,
A silent plea, against every impending fall.
For when I fear you might never return,
My heart and soul, they ache, they burn.
I wage wars with these wicked thoughts so dire,
Arming my spirit with love’s eternal fire.
Arrows fly, aimed at my heart from all around,
Yet in their chambers, your echo is the only sound.
Nights come with whispers of other souls’ desires,
Trying to anchor my heart, with passionate fires.
Yet, my heart wears your love, as its shield,
Repelling every arrow, never to yield.
