The Adventures of a Mismatched Sock
One Sock’s Journey to Find its Sole Mate
The cut-off sock, once snug and warm,
Now tangled up in life’s strange storm.
Its mate, it seems, is far away,
Perhaps lost in the laundry fray.
But fear not, sock, for I am here,
To offer solace and good cheer.
For though you may have lost a mate,
Your solo journey is still great.
You’ll see the world in a new light,
With toes exposed, a novel sight.
You’ll feel the grass beneath your feet,
And dance to your own private beat.
You’ll make new friends along the way,
Mismatched, like you, in every way.
And when the winter winds do blow,
You’ll be a hat for a friendly crow.
So worry not, dear cut-off sock,
Your journey’s just begun, take stock.
For life is full of twists and turns,
And you’ll be fine, just let it burn.
