Finding Purpose Through Life’s Challenges
For every moment in our lives,
A deeper meaning always thrives.
Through all the struggles that we face,
We learn and grow in every place.
Each path we take has a goal in sight,
Though it may diverge left or right.
We drive at night with plans in mind,
Yet fate can change in the blink of an eye.
A collision with a truck on the road,
Lights out, driver unaware, we implode.
We seek the source of our pain and fear,
Afraid and weak, we find strength to persevere.
A call to Mom and Dad, their voices dear,
“Are you okay?” they tremble with fear.
We reply, “I don’t know,” and then we pass,
Content that we did what may be our last.
Slowly regaining our wits,
Hearing screams from strangers in fits.
A stranger saves us, though we forget their name,
We thank them with gratitude all the same.
