The Morning’s Treasure
A Journey of Self-Discovery
Today, I held my tears at bay
And followed the golden ray
No questions asked, just trust
Here lies rubies and gems of dust
A fountain of sparkling delight
A velvet bridge, a breathtaking sight
And there, ships of tulips sail
Yearning for the fairest gale
Here, ink flows without a hand
And wounds, not deaths, mark the land
Do I feel ashamed?
Does a mighty ocean feel the same?
I am the hand, I am the spindle
I am the source of all that’s fertile
Do I feel ashamed?
Does a mighty ocean feel the same?
Today, I discovered a treasure trove
Of beauty and wonder that behove
A journey of self-discovery
A morning’s gift to uncover me.
