Oh, you who wander through Beirut’s ancient streets,
Like a bird that soars, with the wind at your feet,
Cast off your shoes and bow your head in grace,
And embrace the city’s soul with its rich and vibrant face.

Stand by those buildings, a mix of old and new,
Witness the strength of the city, tried and true,
Like a phoenix, it rises from the ashes of strife,
Each time, more resilient, more alive.

Majestic guardians of the setting sun,
Overseeing the sea, and all that’s been done,
Time has aged some, while others remain strong,
And the arts’ beauty, still continues to long.

Some alleys, with their cobbled stones and marks,
Bear witness to the city’s history, filled with sparks,
Gleaming facades, reflecting the light of dawn,
Holding the city’s secrets, now and forever on.

Lines that seem like the contours of a face,
Unique, enduring, withstanding time’s race,
And sacrifices that still walk and breathe,
Witnessing the city’s struggles, its victories
