Why I Love Poetry
The Beauty and Power of Words
I love poetry for it delves deep into my soul,
Transporting me to a world of beauty untold.
If life were a poem, a seasoned poet would recite,
To enchant his lover with its simplicity and depth of sight.
Poetry speaks what words cannot express,
Conveying emotions words alone cannot impress.
It’s my favorite way to travel through time and space,
As poets take us away to a different place.
I cannot fathom a life without poetry,
It would be mundane and bleak, a tragedy.
For it’s not just an art, it’s a way of life,
As important as breath, as inevitable as strife.
Through wars and disasters, poetry remains,
Unwavering and steadfast, its beauty sustains.
It passes from one generation to another,
Preserving the poet’s heart forever.
My love for poetry was born with me,
And has grown stronger with every breath I breathe.
It evokes emotions I never knew existed,
Joy, sadness, anger, and love, all twisted.
